| This guide is intended for web content developers interested in optimizing
their pages for the Contiki Web Browser. It is based entirely on empirical
observation rather than technical knowledge and should *never* be thought
of as definitive or authoratative in any way. I'll boldly assume that anyone
reading this already has a basic knowledge of HTML... if not, go
learn! The Contiki browser is part of the Contiki Operating System which is (in a nutshell) "A Dynamic Operating System for Memory-Constrained Networked Embedded Systems". Contiki OS also includes rudimentary ftp, telnet and email, but unless explicitly stated otherwise, any reference to Contiki in the context of this guide can be taken to mean the Contiki Web Browser. One of the more interesting real-world uses for Contiki is providing internet and intranet connectivity to obsolete hobbyist platforms such as the Apple II and Commodore 64. My area of interest is the Apple II, so all of the information contained in this guide is biased in that direction... I welcome input/corrections from other Contiki users.
